Andrology is a medical specialty which deals with the male reproductive system and urological problems found only in men.
Surgical subspecialty of medicine dealing with the disorders of children's urinary systems.
A urologic oncologist is a physician with special training in diagnosing and treating cancers of the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. These organs include the bladder, kidneys, prostate, penis and testicles.
Fellowship trainings are pursued after completion of general urology training. They are focused trainings in individual subspecialities in urology like urooncology, endourology, andrology, pediatric urology, minimally invasive surgery. In urology fellowship programs, fellows train with high-volume, world-renowned surgeons and get dedicated time for academic pursuits and research. Thereby, a fellowship trained urologist develops more in-depth knowledge and surgical skills in the particular subspeciality of urology.
